Tinc Trunk Show at Tela Verde Showroom

Writer Turned Designer Samantha Knoop Exhibits Her Collection In NYC

It seems everyone is launching an eco-conscious clothing line these days, so it's no surprise that JT Leroy impersonator and instigator of the untruthfall memoir trend, Savannah Knoop, is getting in on the action. Knoop's line, TINC, is a collection of utilitarian separates made from organic cotton and bamboo and non-reactive dyes. The collection, named for the Thai word meaning to "throw away," meant to challenge the current approach to fashion and encourage consumers to adopt a more thoughtful approach to their buying habits. The collection, Knoop says, is inspired by military uniforms, as well as "art, life, literature and music."
