Organic Cotton Goes Toe-To-Toe With Synthetics In Vegan-shoe Market

It seems that organic cotton, which is becoming a mainstay in the apparel industry as more and more denim and ready-to-wear brands are incorporating this earth-friendly textile into their collections, but it's also emerging as worthy alternative to synthetics and harmful PVC's often used in non-leather footwear. Vegan shoemaker Form & Fauna featured a stunning Denim Penny Wedge in organic cotton denim in its spring collection.

And Repetto stance, launched this spring its Repetto Greencast for Earnest Sewn, an organic cotton version of its classic ballet flat.

Veja, the French ethical footwear company, has been making its trendy sneakers from organic cotton from years. The Taua and the Grama are made from organic cotton, natural latex and wild rubber sourced from Brazil.
